Experience Summary
I am a CPA licensed in Arizona and California having worked with KPMG and local CPA firms. I am also a Certified Internal Auditor. My work experience has been as the Controller in turn-around situations, manufacturing, distribution and agriculture operations as well as small family operated construction and retail companies.
I tutored College Algebra and Trigonometry to students at Arizona State University and taught and coached children swimming and diving teams.
I also taught “Cash Flow Management” classes for the Arizona Society of Accountants as well as many other presentations (intro to 401k, safety programs, stock options, inventory procedures, etc.) in the companies where I have worked.
Teaching Style
I am a teacher at heart and many of the students and other professionals in my classes have said that I should change professions.
I approach teaching as a process of understanding why certain activities or processes are required to get an answer. I treat all computer/math/study activities/problems in a way that students understand the logic of the steps taken. I stress the “breaking down” of a problem into its component parts is an integral part of life, not just math, accounting or other school assignments.
It is a thrill when a student reaches the point of understanding this process and masters the task at hand
