Experience Summary
I have had a lot of experience tutoring students at Georgia Perimeter College. I worked in the mathlab and tutored students in General Chemistry, General Physics, and mathematics. The students were from many diverse backgrounds and I enjoyed working with students of all
ages and at different levels of math. I will be attending Cornell University next Fall to complete
my Ph.D. My area of interest is Algebraic Topology and Geometry. I am also available for test preparation on the Graduate Record Exam. My current scores are: 720V and 740M.
Teaching Style
My tutoring style is the same as my teaching style which I learned from teaching the eighth graders at Friends School of Atlanta. The young students were very honest about what they wanted. I learned to be very honest with them.
These kids were very bright. I gave them a lot of homework and pushed them to learn as much as I knew they were capable of learning. They always grumbled whenever I upped the standards for the class, but they knew that they could count on me to help them. After they achieved the high standards on their exams, I always treated them to smoothies at the local MochaMatch. I had so much fun with them.
