Experience Summary
I have recently completed student teaching at Oceanside High School. In addition to teaching both English 10 and English 11 curriculums, I tutored two students in Advanced Placement English, and assisted another student with English 12 writing tasks. I have a strong background in literary interpretation and analysis, as well as teaching writing skills. My secondary credential is pending as I have just finished my coursework.
Teaching Style
I enjoy teaching and working with all children. My recent student teaching experience required me to incorporate a variety of teaching methods into my daily lessons in order to insure that each child had access to academic content. My classes were very heterogeneous, with a variety of learning needs and styles comprising each student group. I am an enthusiastic, patient, and considerate teacher. I strive to make learning engaging and relevant for my students. I believe that every child can learn and that it is up to me to provide the best education possible for each of them.
