Experience Summary
I am a graduate from Cal State University, Hayward (now Cal State East Bay). I received my BA degree in Liberal Studies with an emphasis in Early Childhood Education. I also received an AA degree from Los Medanos College. I worked for three years as a pre-school teacher at Martin Luther King School for the Pittsburg Unified School District. I currently have been volunteering at three elementary schools in Antioch. I enjoy working with children and helping them learn essential life skills. While attending college, I worked in various classrooms for about two years also.
Teaching Style
I am very excited about having the opportunity to work with children. I am a very open minded and patient person when it comes to learning. I feel that we all learn at different levels and paces. I believe that during the process of learning mistakes will be made, this an important part of the growth that is taking place. We learn from our mistakes. I believe that we need to make sure that the environment that the children are in makes them comfortable to try their best. I look forward to this exciting opportunity in educating the future!
