Experience Summary
As an adjunct instructor, I have the responsibility to provide to students a curriculum that covers the course objectives as well as to utilize related technology to enhance learning.
As a personal goal, I strive to incorporate higher-level learning using problem-solving techniques to assist students to connect their current studies with previous and/or future studies in the related disciplines. I facilitate individualized instruction to students who require additional assistance with their coursework.
I have taught courses online and face to face in the following areas: Web Design, Graphics, Animation, Specialized Software Packages, Art History, Math and Spanish.
Teaching Style
The quality of education that I received has inspired me to give the same quality and better. Because my students bring a wealth of different knowledge and skills, I attempt to help them use that knowledge towards the topics learned.
Students learn better when they are able to apply the course materials to their own lives experiences which empowers them to articulate ideas and process concepts that reflect understanding of the materials. My students have ownership of their learing and I support my students by providing encouragement as well as useful feedback on their assignments in a timely manner.
I also value the diversity in my students' learning styles and I am committed to promote their knowledge development.
