Experience Summary
I have been tutoring since I was in high school. I have helped both my friends and fellow classmates with questions that they have had in Mathematics. In high school, one of the classes that I took my senior year involved my tutoring students in an advanced placement course. I tutored professionally where I went to college at American River College. I received my degree from Utah State University. My major is in Mathematics, but, my focus was towards Math Education. I have taken the necessary courses for teaching Secondary Education such as the following Also, as part of the program, I have completed time teaching in a classroom at a local high school for three months.
Teaching Style
I enjoy teaching and helping students learn. I feel an immense amount of satisfaction and accomplishment when one of my of students has that "A-HA" moment and what I just explained to them makes complete sense. I am patient and believe that every student can understand Mathematics. I believe that the students, teachers, and parents have to work together in order to best help the student. When there is that open set of communication going between all three of them, then that optimizes the learning process.
