Experience Summary
I have more than 14 years of experience as a Literature, Language, Business Communications, Technical Writing, and Composition Instructor at the college level. I hold a Master of Arts degree in English Language and Literature and a TOEFL certificate which I earned before teaching for five years in Poland. Although my expertise is in adult education, I have a great deal of experience teaching at both the middle school and high school levels.
Teaching Style
I have devoted myself to teaching as a profession for the last fourteen years because I feel a sense of worth in what I do. I believe that my role is that of a facilitator. My job is to help students define their goals, explore the resources they have at hand to reach those goals, and facilitate the process of meeting those goals. My choice to teach also rests on a foundation of community. As a college instructor, my worth is tied to more than the success of individual students. I strive to help students become an integral part of the communities in which they live, and I celebrate the fact that I play an instrumental role in the economic, social, and educational edification of my community.
