Experience Summary
I have a bachelor's degree in Mathematics from Brigham Young University with a 3.95 GPA in my math courses. I was top of my class in all my math classes and regularly tutored my classmates on the homework assignments. I also was in the mathematics graduate program for a year and a half. During this time I taught algebra, trigonometry, and calculus courses at Brigham Young University. I performed all the duties of a professor. I gave lectures, held office hours, graded homework, wrote and administered tests, personally tutored students and assigned final grades.
Teaching Style
I am a very good teacher. I received very high performance reviews both from the faculty at BYU, and from my students in my classes. I am very good at taking very complex mathematical concepts and breaking them down into something that can be understood by beginning students. I have lots of experience working one-on-one with students and study groups. I generally like to help the student figure it out on their own rather than just telling them how to do a problem. I have been very successful in helping students exceed their expectations.
