Experience Summary
I speak multiple languages and have over 25 years of experience teaching French, English, Spanish, Italian, Mandarin Chinese, Hindi and Punjabi in my own language school as well as in academic and corporate environments. My passion and my specialty is guiding students to fluency and competence in languages. I myself continue to learn new languages and culture for personal emjoyment. My degrees are a BA in ethnomusicvology from UCLA and an MA in French from Arizona State.
Teaching Style
My tutoring style is informal. It is based on establishing good rapport, understanding my student's learning style and making the sessions as enjoyable and productive as possible. I have found that this is crucial in getting good results. Happy people learn much better than stressed and bored ones. At the same time I am very structured in helping my students to master the content they are studying. The material is systematically covered and gradually mastered. I currently use many of the amazing language learning tools found on the internet.
