Experience Summary
I received a B.S. in Chemistry and an minor in Mathematics and eventually took enough hours to hold a teaching certificate to teach secondary Math and Science. I taught Chemistry for 16 of my 19 years and also Math, Physics, and Digital Electronics for a few years. I learned a great deal about various teaching modalities through my years of teaching and I believe I can be a successful tutor in Chemistry. Presently, I am enrolled in a Masters program in IT/Project Management and the knowledge I have gained in this program will help me in the area of tutoring. I find nothing better than seeing a student succeed.
Teaching Style
I understand that everyone learns differently. I learn best through visual and hands on , yet I know a large number of people learn orally. I have developed through my 19 years of teaching experiences ways to teach to all the different types of learning styles. While I am looking at the positive and well aware of the weaknesses and I deal with this aspect of the student's profile and try to turn the weaknesses into strenghts. No student wants to fail, It is my job to teach every student in such a way as to give them a chance to reach their potential.I am easy going, competent, and always put my students' interests first.
