Experience Summary
While attending Georgia State University, I tutored students in reading and reading comprehension.
I was employed by ING for 28 years. For 10 of those years, I was director of training. I supervised 4 trainers who did hands on training in soft skills as well as functional skills. I have 10 years of training adults and I have a clear understanding that everyone learns in different manners in through different avenues.
Teaching Style
Children are delightful when they realize that they are learning and growing. As their confidence grows, learning becomes even more important to them. I use rewards and positive reenforcement in my day to day training. This entails verbal rewards, stars, stickers and even small gifts that I believe help to motivate adults as well as children. I am very enthusiastic and my attitude about learning and successess usually make children and adults more eager to learn.
