Experience Summary
Since 8th grade I have worked with the elementary school students at Edgemont Elementary school in Moreno Valley in reading, math, and physical education.
I have worked at an advanced level at Columbia University. Columbia has the most extensive core curriculum in the Ivy League meaning that I have one of the most well-rounded educations in the world. I have advanced experience in math, science, and especially literature.
Furthermore, I have taken these language skills and focused them into my successful time at Whittier Law School. Despite my busy law school schedule, I enjoy working with children so much I have made time to coach Varsity softball and continue tutoring at Edgemont.
Teaching Style
All children have the ability to learn, however some children simply need to be taught in a different way. In law school I am a teaching assistant and my favorite part about working with students is finding out what a student's learning style is. Based upon the learning style they describe I adapt my teaching methods to best fit their style. Children don't usually know what their learning style is, so I also enjoying figuring out what methods best suit them--be it auditory, visual, or kinesthetic.
