Experience Summary
I currently graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with a BS in Society and Environment. I also graduated with a Minor in Education. I have been tutoring (voluntarily) since I was in the 6th grade, and as of today, i am still involved with many organizations that specifically ask for tutors. Working with students of all level requires patience and understanding, I feel as if I am qualified to take on these requirements given my past experiences. I also enjoy working with kids because I am surrounded with a lot of younger cousins everyday--all of which has helped me gain practice and has simply taught me the underlining basic of what it takes to work with someone younger (and perhaps even older).
Teaching Style
I enjoy working with all children and I am looking forward to putting my experiences into practice. I am motivated, determined, and I strive for excellence; and I believe that one must do something they enjoy doing in order to achieve that excellence. As a tutor, I try my best to place myself in the student's shoe/perspective so that I can provide them with a better method of learning the materials. I also encourage the students rather than give up on them because the best thing a teacher/tutor can do for their student is to provide them with support and care; and let them know that you are there for them throughout the process of their learning. I may be imperfect, but I hope to be a role model to those that need one.
