Experience Summary
I am an experienced teacher and have been teaching English in Korea for the past three years. I also have tutoring experience from the United states one on one in the home as well as with groups while an undergrad and in high school. I have tutored for SAT prep, all aspects of English and Language arts, and all K-5 curriculum with a focus on American style education for ESL students. In addition to teaching ESL courses I also have taught reading, American culture, American literature, and business English classes at a University Level. In addition, I have completed my coursework for my Masters of Education and will be doing my student teaching in 2011.
Teaching Style
I really love teaching and working with children. I decided to become a full time educator after working with a family and their autistic son for a year. Although I did not specialize in special needs students I learned a lot about how to tailor education and tutoring for each students needs. I am very patient and use a positive reward system to help with student success.
