Experience Summary
I am currently a graduate student at the University of Missouri. I am working on dual masters in economics and statistics and just finished year one of two. I have been a teaching assistant for macroeconomics the past 3 semesters and was head teaching assistant last semester. In the fall I will begin teaching my own sections of business statistics. I have spent the last two years helping students one on one and have also taught exam reviews.
Teaching Style
I like teaching students by explaining the material in a way I think is easiest to understand. I always emphasize how the material relates to what students already knows and how they can use what they know to solve problems. Often students cannot see how what they are learning can ever be useful in real life situations so I also try to give examples of when they might use what we are covering. Most importantly I am still a student myself I find I always learn better with examples so I always try to work through plenty of examples.
