Experience Summary
I have always had a fascination with the past; as a child I read book after book on dinosaurs and as an adult I studied and received a BA in History with a minor in Political Science. Through my years of schooling I have developed not only my writing skills but my skills in foreign language. After studying German in high school and living abroad in Germany for a month, I studied German in college and now read German stories alongside my history books in my spare time.
Teaching Style
Every child can learn but since everyone is different, a different approach is needed to ensure the information and abstract concepts are fully understood. Auditory learners like myself would learn best from an entertaining lecture followed by auditory questions designed for the learner to discover for him or herself what it is they were looking for with myself as a guide. Visual learners would learn best by a movie or re-enactment, and some reading. Kinesthetic learners would need a hands on experience to get a better understanding. In all cases students will realize that they themselves can figure out for themselves the 'hows' and 'whys' of history and show me by answering some questions and re-teaching it to me.
