Experience Summary
I graduated from the University of Texas at El Paso in the spring of 2009. During my time at the university I had the opportunity to study abroad in France in 2006 and the following year in Belgium where I took courses in French and Political Science for a combined period of one year. In the summer of 2008 I participated in the English open doors program in Chile, where I taught English to secondary and high school students. After returning from Chile I was employed at Kumon math and reading learning center in El Paso where I tutored children in priimary school until September of 2009 when I returned to France to teach English and Spanish as part of an assistanship program.
Teaching Style
Teaching can be a vey enriching and satisfying experience. When your students are interested and enjoy the subject the outome is very gratifying. Tutoring and teaching are somewhat the same. You are still helping students reach their potential in both areas. I am patient when I am teaching, i believe patience is essential in any teaching environment. I have worked with students of different age groups and have learned something along the way from everyone. When you help a child succeed and improve his or her learning habits one feels a certain amount of satisfaction and that is what teaching is for me the passing of knowledge from one person to another.
