Experience Summary
Google me or use Wikipeida; I am well-known in the database world. I have two Masters, written 8 books on Databases and SQL, and over 900 articles in the computer trade press in the US and Europe.
I have taught training classes or consulted Africa, Europe, South America and on-line classes. I was on the founding staff of Neumont University in Salt Lake City; a for-profit start-up for software developers.
I edited a recreational math column in ABACUS for Springer-Verlag years ago. I like abstract games and I still have a nice little comic book collection. I am an old Fan Boy.
Teaching Style
I like to use computers and was a volunteer at the Dr. Math website years ago. I start with axioms and build on them, so that there is an organized system for the student. But thanks to the computers, I am a constructivist; if you cannot construct a model then it is suspect.
Thanks to the recreational math, I tend to throw in something extra that is just for fun.
