Experience Summary
I have a BS degree in Biology, which has given me a range of knowledge in the sciences. I have a lot of experience writing research papers as well as lab reports. I have worked for 3 summers as a para educator in a class of 13-15 year old children with multiple disabilities. For 2 years I volunteered in a program in which I tutored elementary school children with reading twice a week. During college I tutored some nursing students for a couple months with basic chemistry and science classes.
Teaching Style
I am a patient person and love to help people learn. My style can change depending on the student and how they listen, focus, and study. I believe that one-on-one tutoring is especially important when the student has questions that aren't answered in the classroom. I will do my best to keep things interesting as well as productive. I also recognize that each person has their own pace, so I adapt to the speed as needed.
