Experience Summary
As an a graduate of a smaller liberal arts university, I have a very well rounded education that has provided me with a deeper understanding in many of the supporting areas such as biochemistry, math, physics, and so on. I have written numerous research papers and lab reports throughout my academic career. My direct experience as an educator has been extensive. I tutored for multiple different classes while getting my own degree and I have spent the last year teaching the laboratory portion of college-level general chemistry at the University of Colorado, Boulder.
Teaching Style
Teaching has always been a desire. I realize that students learn better through different approaches, so I try to use as many on a regular basis as I can. I am very patient, easy going, and understanding. I believe that any subject can be learned and understood by anyone, so I also do not give up on any of my students no matter how much they might struggle. The general theme to my style of teaching involves having the students make the connection of ideas themselves. I see my role as a guide more than a fact checker.
