Experience Summary
My journey to becoming a medical student at the Chicago Medical School was driven by both a quest for excellence and a life-long love of science and learning. My educational background, encompassing both a B.S. in Biology and a M.S. in Medical Biotechnology, coupled with real life research experience has provided insights into how chemistry, biology, math, and physics all apply to everyday problems. During my studies I tutored/mentored several students in many areas such as Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, etc. Additionally, my research experience included extensive writing, providing a keen understanding of grammar, syntax, and the writing process. I have tutored students for the last 4 years in Biology and Chemistry.
Teaching Style
Although I enjoy research and have developed a strong background in education, I find the most joy when presenting new information to my peers or finding small opportunities to teach science lessons. It is my personal belief that all students have the ability to succeed in their personal goals, and it is my job as an educator to help students reach and exceed their potential. As a tutor, I look forward to working with students to not only understand the basic concepts of science, but also develop a sense of passion for learning and a work ethic that will serve them the rest of their lives. I am hard working and passionate about teaching others about science, and look forward to showing students more about the world around them.
