Experience Summary
I am an experienced teacher that has taught secondary English and journalism for the past 13 years. I have six years of experience teaching Advanced Placement English composition with a 60% pass rate. During my years of teaching I have also taught American and British Literature, Speech, Composition, Creative Writing, Journalism, junior high language arts and keyboarding. I am also very knowledgeable of computers and various programs. I briefly worked for a company called Club Z! as a tutor until this company folded.
Teaching Style
There is nothing more rewarding than helping a child fulfill his or her potential. I enjoy helping kids achieve their goals and not only learn, but grow as learners. I believe children learn best through doing. I, myself, am a visual learner and try to provide ways for kids to learn based on their individual learning styles. I have a good sense of humor and a strong sense of fairness. I care deeply for the children I teach.
