Experience Summary
Four years tutoring at the undergraduate college level when I was an undergraduate student myself. This includes calculus 1&2&3 and college algebra. Also physics, chemistry and biology. I perused a double major of pre medicine and electrical engineering at the undergraduate level. I needed some extra money and found a lot of satisfaction in helping others and I found myself to be good at it and still tutor co-workers today.
In addition I have done tutoring as a working professional for new college hires and junior staff for about 30 years.
Teaching Style
In my opinion every student learns in a different way giving his or her own approach to developing an understanding of new unfamiliar knowledge. Also these same students shift their methods depending upon the material being introduced and discussed. It is for this reason that I seek to first try to carefully understand the students learning style and adjust my teaching style to match.
Examples:
Leaning by example, teacher solves a math problem for the student in a step-by-step approach with the benefit of why the teacher is using these particular steps and approach.
