Experience Summary
I have two B.S. Degrees, one in Humanities and the other in Technical Project Management.
Computer experience - Microsoft classes and college courses in networking and web design. My most recent job I was an IT Project Manager. I have 15 years of experience in working with computers and computer applications.
English - As a substitute teacher I taught English and Language Arts. I have taken several English/Literature courses in North Central University and at ITT-Tech.
Math - College courses through Calculus.
Science - College courses in Biology and Environmental Sciences.
Social Studies - My humanities degree is in World Cultures. I have lived in Hawaii, Germany, and in Turkey.
Teaching Style
I enjoy teaching and investing in children. I was credentialed as a Substitute Teacher. When I taught in public schools teachers would request me by name to teach for their classes. I have experience working with elementary ages through high school and even adults. When teaching I try to break complex materials and concepts down into practical illustrations and concepts so the student can see the big picture then fit the concept into that picture. I don't believe in just teaching raw data for kids to memorize, but instead try to illustrate concepts in ways that they can understand to enable them to best understand the material.
