Experience Summary
I have earned a BA in French from the University of Florida with a minor in Flute Performance and a concentration in Spanish. As a native English speaker, I understand the difficulties and intricacies of learning a foreign language and have 8 years of experience in learning to speak, read and write in French and Spanish. I studied abroad at La Sorbonne in Paris for a semester and have excelled in literature, linguistics, phonetics, and culture courses. I tutored classmates throughout high school and college and have recently acquired a position as an English teacher in France for the upcoming school year. I am also able to tutor in English composition and literature and Music Theory.
Teaching Style
I believe that every student requires a unique form of education and am willing to adapt my teaching style to match their needs, whether they are visual or auditory learners, need to copy down notes by hand to remember conjugations, or prefer memorizing test material by setting it to song. I am patient and thorough and want to help every student discover the joy of speaking a foreign language or learning music.
