Experience Summary
As a Yoga Instructor and studio owner over the past ten years, I have held several Teacher Trainings, and taught the Anatomy and Physiology part of all these. First hand, as a single mother, I have raised my son, currently in high school and I have hands on experience raising him and keeping him on track. He is an above average student and I have found that staying involved, asking probing questions and creating a routine have all contributed to his success.
Teaching Style
My teaching style is one of encouragement and confidence building. When I have taught Biology to those who don’t understand it, I have found success in trying to relate the science to something that the student can relate. I believe it is important to keep a student progressing and that praise as well as honest feedback can help them achieve this goal. My mother is a life-long teacher and I have learned a lot by being around her.
