Experience Summary
I have been teaching and tutoring all levels of German, French and English as a second language for over a decade now. I have raisesd three bilingual children. I have taught for ten years in elementary middle and high school settings and have tutored high school students and adults privately for about twenty years.
Teaching Style
I am a teacher because I believe that I owe it to our youth to offer them all I know and to prepare them for a future we cannot even fully fathom at this point. We as teachers are preparing them to solve problems and address issues that have not even occurred yet. Higher order thinking skills and cutting edge technology skills should be a must in our curriculum.
I use technology in my classes in many ways: I have a blog that I have a website where I post lessons, syllabi and unit plans as well as information for my students’ parents. I have created a wiki for my upper level students so that we can discuss some of the projects on famous people or places online.
