Experience Summary
I completed my MA in Library and Information Science with the intent of working in reference assisting in research and scholarship. I also have two bachelor degrees; a BA in History and a BA in the Comparative Study of Religion. My education has enabled me to perfect skills in writing. I am also experienced with various citation styles. I have tutored students at various levels of learning and in a wide range of subjects. I volunteered at a center for women teaching basic reading and language skills and at a literacy center assisting adults working towards their GED and teaching students learning English as a second language. I also spent six months student teaching in a fourth grade class.
Teaching Style
I have always had a high appreciation of knowledge and learning. I enjoy sharing my love of knowledge and learning through teaching and mentoring. I especially enjoy tutoring because it is personalized and individual. I feel that it is the best way for me to teach and provide encouragement. I am patient, friendly and dedicated. I am also a creative thinker who strives to further education for any student willing to learn.
