Experience Summary
I have experience working with k-12. Along with employed tutoring, volunteering, and mentoring. I am qualified to tutor in English, math, and social studies because throughout my studies I have excelled in all three subjects and have tutored them also. I enjoy tutoring math because I get to constantly push the limits of how I can explain concepts. In English, I read lots off long books. And social studies, for the same reason as English, I enjoy reading books!
currently for the wccsd, i tutor in math and science. i have guest spoken at a school for science and i have lead the discussion at the same school in math, grades 2-5. i am currently getting the substitute teaching credentials for the school district.
Teaching Style
My teaching style changes with each student. My passion for teaching and working wit children is driven by the fresh way they have of looking at problems and the world around them. I like to observe first then go into speaking a language the student understands. After we immerse into conversations to get a feel of how we interpret and process information, I like to then teach in a way that they student can apply the logic of nature into problem solving.
