Experience Summary
Experienced Special Education Aide with an background in curriculum planning, teaching, and caring for students with special needs aged preschool through college. Proficient with Microsoft Office, Dragon Naturally Speaking Speech Recognition Software, Kurzweil Educational Systems for learning disabilities, JAWS Braille system, and basic American Sign Language (ASL).I have recieved my BA degree from Cal State East Bay in liberal studies special ed option.
Teaching Style
I love teaching and working with all childern. I believe that all childern have the abilty to learn. I am a believer that childern can learn anything if given the chance. As a child who grew up with a mild disabilty i know how hard it is to have teachers who belive in you. now that i am voluteering at a special needs preschool, i treat all childern with respect and kindness that they deserve. All childern have the potiental to suceed and become an important part of society. I belive that i can make a diffrence in a childs life if i take the time to indivually learn the needs and gifts of each of my childern and consentrate on this, instead of the childerns diffrence.
