Experience Summary
I have obtained my Bachelors in human Services and completed the teaching certification program at Lonestar College. I have passed my content exams in special education ec-12 and the generalist 4-8. I will take my social studies 4-8 content next month. I have taught adults with special needs for two years. I am substituting in intermediate and middle school grades while seeking a teaching position. My passion in teaching is reading, writing and social studies.
Teaching Style
My teaching style is differentiated teaching, as this combines many different learning styles and is able to reach most, if not all studens. I teach using many different hands-on activities, as I believe that it teaches real-world applications. I believe in texts/paper assignements but always try to back up the assignment with some type of real-world experience/scenario,; whether it be having the student give a speech, act out a script or physically demonstrate a concept or a combination of all of the above.
