Experience Summary
I have a Bachelor of Arts degree with a focus in French. I am currently working on my teacher certification in the state of Missouri and also my certification in ESOL. From January 2010 to May 2010 I student taught at the McCluer high school in Florissant, Missouri in the Ferguson-Florissant district. I taught French 2 through French 4 and an advanced French 5/6 class including a francophone lesson unit that I designed.
Teaching Style
I believe in differential teaching styles. Every student has the ability to learn, however every student's learning capabilities are all different. I believe that it's important to understand how every student learns as an individual and exposing them to a variety of learning situations. This can be done with lectures, readings, music, and various projects. I also believe that students learn better when they are able to relate to the topic which is why in my classroom I learn about the various interests and do my best to incorporate them into the lessons.
