Experience Summary
During college I worked for NMSU and CYFD providing two types of tutoring services.
With NMSU I worked with fellow college students in classes that I previously passed, which mainly included Accounting and Math.
With CYFD I worked with young mothers trying to obtaining their GED. I helped create good study habits and tutored them in all areas included in the GED; Social Studies, Math, Language Arts, and Science.
While in college I took several communication classes which had presentations in front of 100 or more students. I took intermediate algebra along with statistics and business calculus.
I work with computers on a regular basis (including the internet and Microsoft Office) and have taken several advanced excel courses.
Teaching Style
I love the idea of being the person that has helped someone further their knowledge. I have always been a person that will take the time to teach someone something so they fully understand what they’re doing. I am patient, easy going and understand that everyone learns differently. I believe if you help the student get excited about learning, it not only makes learning easier but makes the subject more enjoyable.
