Experience Summary
I attended the University of California at Berkeley, where I studied Latin and Classical Archaeology. I work with students of all levels of Latin, and am therefore familiar with many books, including The Cambridge Latin Course, The Oxford Latin Course, Wheelock's Latin, Latin for Americans, and Ecce Romani. I taught Latin for one year at The Willows Academy in Des Plaines, IL for the school year of 2006-2007. Most of my students are students of Latin, however, I do work with an Ancient Greek student as well.
Teaching Style
Working with many different students has allowed me to learn a myriad of teaching styles. I have assisted students with ADD/ADHD and learning differences. Because each student is an individual, each lesson is done according to their needs. Sometimes I work primarily on reading and asking questions about the grammar, while, with others, I may have them write out the Latin and drill them on declensions and conjugations.
