Experience Summary
I started tutoring in the Mid 1970's, tutoring Chemistry to CSULA Nursing students. Then I realized i could also tutor Math, since I took many Math classes in my Chemistry and Computer Science curricula. I have encountered a diverse range of students allowing me to hone my craft.
Teaching Style
The interesting part was that I was forced to be creative, since not everyone can learn from the same analogies and techniques. So, over the years I have developed many different approaches to teaching and also much patience. I find a method that works for the student, and then make sure quickly the student can actually do the problems. I break down Algebra into visual patterns, and analogous concepts.
