Experience Summary
As a chemistry major at a highly accredited college, I was very driven to achieve excellence in education. My motivation stemmed from sincere interest and excitement in the topic, and I really enjoyed sharing this with others. During my time at school, I served as a teaching assistant for students in general and organic chemistry laboratories, helping them to understand and learn proper techniques and theories. Due to extensive laboratory reports and presentations, my written and communication skills have developed significantly. Since graduation, I have been employed by two major pharmaceutical companies and have been lucky enough to apply my undergraduate education to the area of drug discovery research.
Teaching Style
My teachers have had a significant impact on my life over the years, and because of this, I feel it has made me more aware of the importance of a student/teacher relationship. I believe every student needs personal attention, and each deserves the care of a teacher to understand their individual learning style. I absolutely love helping others understand the exciting world of science because it is something that I really appreciate and have a passion for. I believe in adapting to a child’s learning style in order to constructively approach a problem, and working together to obtain a full understanding of a topic. Personally, I am an incredibly patient person who is exceedingly caring and aware of different learning abilities and styles.
