Experience Summary
Ever since I was a little boy I always knew I wanted to pursue a career in Biology. As one of the top students in my graduating class from Nova Southeastern University I knew that I always wanted to teach and tutor. I have tutored student for two years when I was a student In LaGuardia College in NY and always wanted to come back to it. Knowing that I can help someone else who needs my help makes me feel fulfilled and happy. As a student I had an intensive curriculum in Biology which included writing lab and didactic reports, dissecting animals, naming bones, muscles, nerves, organs etc. The area of study that I am most comfortable with is Anatomy and Physiology I and II, Advanced Anatomy and Physiology and Biology I and II.
Teaching Style
I first try to talk to each individual so that we can both get comfortable with one another. What I have learned through the years is that no one person is the same and so the teaching techniques have to be adjusted to suite the needs of each individual.
I always try to ask as many questions of the child as possible to see which areas the child needs help with the most. I will usually prepare questions and a mini lesson plan before each session so that we make sure that we meet our goal for that tutoring session.
