Experience Summary
I am a junior at St. Mary’s University in San Antonio Texas, but return home to Tucson, AZ for the summers. I am working towards my Bachelor of Science in Biology and I am currently applying to medical school. Through my strong academics and excellent organization skills, I was chosen to tutor the following subjects as an undergraduate: general biology, anatomy and prepatory/introduction to chemistry.
Teaching Style
I find that the most rewarding aspect of teaching is the time spent interacting and engaging with the students. I want to learn what areas were most challenging to the students and then focus on those areas, utilizing different teaching tools to meet each student's need and most comfortable style of learning. I also believe in continued development of their strengths with constant refreshment of what they understood. I will foster an environment in which the student(s) feel comfortable asking questions. I am eager to provide a great opportunity for students to set goals and work to achieve them.
