Experience Summary
Obtaining my Bachelors and Masters from a prestigious university has provided me with not only a pertinent educational background but also a great appreciation for the importance of education. The courses I taught at Rutgers University and my current teaching position at IADT have provided me with invaluable experience in being able to work with a diverse group of students with different learning styles. My area of expertise lies in Math and Economics, however, I am also proficient in Science, English and effectively knowledgeable in all other subjects. I am very driven to not only educate, but also instill the value of education and a proper attitude and study habits towards learning that will last a lifetime.
Teaching Style
Seeing the light bulb go off in my students’ head is a constant reminder of my passion for teaching. I believe that all students are capable of learning and succeeding however some students just need to be taught in an alternate manner. My style of teaching involves a great deal of patience as well as constant reinforcement to ensure proper understanding and recall. I allow my easy going and fun nature to shine through in my teaching style but make sure to keep the proper balance in allowing learning to be an enjoyable but serious endeavor. I believe that education is the key to a successful and fulfilling life and my goal is to instill that believe and capability in all the lives I have the opportunity to touch.
