Experience Summary
During my time at the University of Minnesota I earned two BS degrees in Mathematics and Statistics. I have a very strong background in math and science. While attending college I gained a lot of experience in education. I privately tutored, facilitated Peer Assisted Learning sessions, and also was a teaching assistant at a Saturday program instructing 4th and 5th grade girls on special topics in math. After graduation, I joined Teach for America and taught high school Algebra 1 and Geometry for seven months.
Teaching Style
I believe that an education is the most important foundation for a person. I am very patient and have found students learn best when each new piece of information is linked to prior knowledge. Each student learns at a different pace and in a different way.
