Experience Summary
I will be a graduate of Northeastern State University as of May 17th, 2010 holding a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education. I will be taking my certification test during the weekend of April 17th. This spring I complete my full internship in Owasso Ok, where I taught 5th grade.
I have been able to experience children in teaching dance for man years. As well as having my own to children. One of which is a struggling reader, which prompted me to go back and get an education to learn how to help her better.
Teaching Style
My strengths are with all children, they are my passion. I love inspiring and motivating students to learn. I try to actively engage students in learning by using a variety of activities, projects, and manipulatives. In addition I have been able to use reading strategies to help students achieve a successful year of learning.
I am an open and friendly teacher, with a bit of a funny bone at times. I live by a Dr. Suess quote “The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you'll go.”
