Experience Summary
During the last 6 years I have attended California State University San Marcos, and completed a Bachelor Degree in History- Social Science after which I completed graduate program course work for a teaching credential, Multiple Subject Middle Level, with Single Subject Matter Clearance for History- Social Science, and Spanish Language I & II.
Also during the last 2 years I Passed Several California State Examinations for Teachers including: The Multiple Subject CSET; The RICA (Reading Literacy and Comprehension Instruction); The Spanish Language Instruction I &II (Intermediate Fluency); The Basic Skills Instruction, CBEST.
Teaching Style
I am passionate about guiding students to discover their learning style, so I provide a variety of analysis and synthesis activities using: modeling; academic vocabulary and language writing projects ; left and right brain activities; interdisciplinary, visual, auditory, and kinesthetic activities.
Students maintain an interactive notebook in which they maintain a record of different types of note-taking (lecture or reading). Each writing entry is complemented with a variety of processing activities taylored to student learning preferences strengths, and needs.
I want students to continually experience the joy of discovery, problem solving, and the pride of achievement, and self-monitoring with my guidance.
