Experience Summary
I have job development and placement skills to high school students, young adults, mentally ill individuals, and injured workers. I have put together a course which covers a 12 - 17 week course in how to find and keep a job. The course provides studies which cover preparing for a career, educational courses to pursue for a career, how to find a job, the application process, cover letter and resume development, discrimination issues, and interview techniques.
Teaching Style
I have worked with high school students in a classroom setting, as well as, on a one-on-one. I utilize confidentiality, counseling techniques, motivational techniques, emotional and academic support for students. I have been able to motivate individuals to become successful students and/or employees. I enjoy working with young people and hear their ideas, desires, and goals for their life. If I can be a part of a young persons dreams and future while being part of their past and able to pass on what I have learned and am willing to teach I find I have contributed to a positive and possible future for the advancement of this person and world.
