Experience Summary
I have a B.S. and a M.ED. in Education with a minor in English. I have been a teacher for 28 years from Early Childhood to college English. I have also been a free lance writer for several years and have published magazine articles. Through my education and work experience I have developed marketable writing skills and can tutor others in grammar, composition, and literature. I have tutored in all subjects, including math, through grade 6 as well.
Teaching Style
I have a laid-back teaching style and do not like to put pressure on students who are striving to their best. I enjoy building students' confidence and developing them to their potential. I am trained in the theory of multiple intelligences and believe in teaching to a child's learning style. If a student has trouble learning in one way, there are multiple other ways they can learn.
