Experience Summary
Following my graduation as the valedictorian of the class of 2002 with a Bachelor degree in French-Language and Literature, I was selected to join the branch of Science of Pedagogical Studies for French as a Second Language and Professional Training at L’Ecole Normale Supérieure in Morocco. Only two groups of fifteen graduates were admitted among hundreds of candidates over the country. At the end of this academic cycle, I was able to initiate my vocation for teaching as a high school French teacher. Besides English, I fluently speak Arabic and French (I was born and raised in Morocco where both languages are considered as national languages). I currently live and work in the United States as a legal permanent resident.
Teaching Style
My 4 years experience in the field of education allowed me to become deeply mindful of the crucial roles of the teacher and therefore always be sure my students profit linguistically, cognitively and psychologically. My teaching philosophy is based on the conviction that the students can learn and assimilate the targeted language effectively only by being involved in various situations of communication where they are provided with essential linguistic tools that they learn to manipulate in order to engage in a successful intellectual exchange in the targeted language. This process is subsequently reinforced by a permanent practice that enables the students to develop a higher level of autonomy.
