Experience Summary
As a graduate of the "École Normale Supérieure"(ENS), I am a professional teacher. For those who are familiar with the French educational system, "ENS" is a top notch in teachers' education. And for having trained teachers in the art of teaching, then being a Bilingual French and English language specialist, coupled with my extended research in that field as a college Instructor for 10 years, I know the problems of inter-language that English speakers face when learning French, and I have very good didactic strategies as how to tackle such interferences and make it easier to any American learner of French to acquire a communicative competence.
Teaching Style
Even though I know many methods to language teaching, be it the verbo-tonal, translation, structuro-global and audio-visual(SGAV) methods and you name the rest. My preference goes to the use of the communicative-cognitive approach to French as a Foreign language learning.
Since language is first and foremost meant to be spoken, I am more interested in developing a communicative competence to the learners
while concomitantly developing their attitude toward loving and learning languages. For if they know many languages, they shorten the world.
