Experience Summary
In my teaching I stress fundamental design principles, technique and color theory. I am also invested in exposing students to art history which I believe enriches,informs and helps to shape a students own individual style. I have instructed adult classes in oil painting that focus on the figure, landscape and portraiture. Currently I implement arts integrated programs for K-8 in the Chicago Public Schools as a contractor.
Teaching Style
In my teaching I employ communicative tools to facilitate both individual and group instruction.
I am often energized when I work with students and feel responsible to transfer something they will apply in their daily lives. As a painting instructor I rely on good communication, clear direction and enjoy talking with students about what they see in their work how to clafify their objectives.
