Experience Summary
I have always had a passion for the arts. In 2008, I graduated from Georgia College and State University with my Bachelor’s in Studio Art with concentration in Printmaking, Fiber and Photography. I then pursued a Master’s of Arts in Teaching with a concentration in Art Education, which I received in 2009. I also hold a T-5 teaching Certification from the State of Georgia. For the past five years I have be actively volunteering and teaching mainly art to Pre-K through Eighth grade. During the last year I have been the Creative Arts Instructor at a Non-Profit organization, teaching art to adults with developmental disabilities.
Teaching Style
I have a passion for art and I am a huge advocate for keeping art in our school systems. I absolutely love giving students the opportunity to learn and experience art. Art is a very hands-on subject that I feel can not be fully understand without experiencing it. i believe that everyone should have the chance to be creative and learn about themselves through art. I am easy going, patient and believe that all students have the ability to learn on high levels.
