Experience Summary
I have experience working with children and tutoring high school students on multiple subjects (math and science). I have also tutored in subjects such as economics and how to study effectively. I have taught subjects in small group settings as well. I hold a BS degree in chemical engineering from UC Davis.
Teaching Style
My teaching style focuses on the student and his/her struggles. I really try to make the student understand the topic at hand and how to study it effectively. Studying techniques are very important and I introduce those techniques to the student. I really guide the student step-by-step through his/her struggles and to build their confidence. I change their mentality to a positive one. I enjoy working with others and I use all the resources that I can to make the student understand the topic. I usually give extra practice problems and I really challenge the students thinking pattern to make sure they understand the topic.
