Experience Summary
I have taught college courses in Chemistry, Mathematics and Statistics for about 5 years, and taught seminars in specialized topics of Applied Statistics, like Six Sigma, Design of Experiments, and Statistical Engineering for over 10 years. I like to support my statistical teachings with popular software packages like Minitab and SAS-JMP. I have advanced degrees in Chemical Engineering and Statistics, and I am bilingual English-Spanish.
Teaching Style
Mi teaching style depends on the students I have to attend, although I have a personal preference to be a coach and facilitator. Since I have had experience with students from high school to graduate level and working professionals, I also feel comfortable with acting as an expert with formal authority in the subjects I teach. However, I prefer to act as a consultant whenever that is possible, guiding my students to develop the criteria and capabilities to make informed choices and to take independent actions.
